This Week In Osprey
September 25, 2009
This last Tuesday night, our Student Ministry had the biggest crowd of students they have had since Scott came! It is so exciting to see new students being reached and ministered too. Way to go, Scott.
I’ve been enjoying the reports of people telling their friends about Jesus. Keep at it! People need to know about the life changing and soul saving message about Him.

FROM MY HEART:
Every day I pass by people that I really don’t see. Maybe it’s in Wal-Mart or in the mall. Maybe it’s in my workplace or in my school hall ways. Regardless, they are people who are loved by God and deserve the opportunity to hear the story of Jesus.
But it’s not quite that easy, is it? We all know what we should do, for us it’s the age old problem of walking across the room, starting a conversation and then bridging into a conversation about Jesus. And that is hard.
Jesus seemed to do it so easily with the woman at the well. He did it so effortlessly with the other people He spoke to. I never understood why.
But the thought has come to me that it was easy for Him because when people talked to Him, they knew they were talking to someone about spiritual issues. They knew He was all about God.
Maybe that’s my problem, and yours. I am not known for spiritual conversations. I am known to be able to tell a joke or talk about how sorry the Bucs are this year. Maybe if I was more interested in spiritual things, my conversations with others would flow into real conversations about what really matters – an individual’s relationship with God.
So, I need to work on how people see me. Am I God’s ambassador to my friends or am I just a nice guy to talk with? Not all our conversations have to be about spiritual issues, but enough of them ought to be so that people can know I like talking with other people about God.
I’ll see you in church this Sunday.
In Jesus Grip,
Pastor Tom
